MergeMath – Privacy Policy

No personal data collected

MergeMath ("the App", "we", "our") is a mathematics game for children available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, especially children.

1. No Data Collection

MergeMath does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. The App has no backend server, no user accounts, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. We never receive any data from your device.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores game progress, settings, and in-app currency (coins) locally on your device only, using the operating system's secure key-value storage (Capacitor Preferences). This data includes:

• Skill ratings and answer history (used to adapt difficulty)
• High score and session statistics
• Cosmetic theme preferences and coin balance
• Sound and haptics settings
• Language preference

This data never leaves your device. It is not accessible to us or any third party. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all locally stored data.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

MergeMath is designed for use by children. Because the App does not collect any personal information from any user — regardless of age — it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR provisions applicable to children's data.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (US) or under 16 (EU/EEA), and in practice we collect no personal information from anyone at all.

4. No Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party advertising networks, social media SDKs, crash-reporting tools, or analytics services. No data is shared with or sold to any third party.

5. Device Permissions

The App requests only the following device capabilities:

• Haptics / vibration – to provide tactile feedback on correct answers. No data is read or transmitted.
• Device locale – to detect the system language and display the App in the user's preferred language. The locale value is used only in memory and is never transmitted.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices (for example, if a future version of the App adds network features), we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage parents and guardians to review this page periodically.
